I've got that Wilson holster too, and my experience is closer to Magsz's than Sam's. I carry my full sized 92s concealed and every bit of reduced length helps. I am personally very happy that this gun has a flush cut barrel. All I'll say is that I just spent one month doing nothing but reloads in dry fire with mine. I invite all interested parties to reload a non beveled 92 against just about any contemporary double stack on timer and observe the results.

It doesn't have magwell beveled, which to me is a big negative. Reinforced dust cover creates some holster cross compatibility issues. In addition, it doesn't accept any other 92 slides besides its own, in case somebody wanted to mix and match.

It also has two rail cross slots vs only one on the M9A1. The 92A1 has heavier reinforcing of the dustcover/rail area than the M9A1. My reason for recommending the Wilson Tactical Assault is that it IS AVAILABLE NOW WITH NO WAIT and it will fit ANY 92 series guns, from the Vertec to standard 92FS, G-SD, any of the Elite series and for this new mysterious 92G B. The holster is (or it used to be) made by a company name Prezine, also own by Bill Rogers. The holster is supposedly designed by Bill Rogers who designed just about every holsters for Safariland. With the availability of the kydex pancake style holsters made popular by Raven, there are lots of good choices for concealed carry, but you have to wait.Īnd yes, the belt attachment configuration matches Safariland's exactly. I used a Lou Alessi ACP holster (leather) when I carried the 92s concealed. Many people use the Blade Tech, Comp Tac and Ready Tactical holsters in matches but I don't like them for conceal carry. In my opinion, it's not a good deep concealment holster and neither are any of the kydex drop loop type that are popular with match shooters. I used the holster primarily for range and IDPA matches. As for the belt attachment, it worked fine for me also, I use Wilderness type belts and found it acceptable.

I never had any problem with dirt collecting inside the holster or on the suede lining. In fact, i cant believe im about to say this but the Blackhawk Serpa SPORTSTER (without the lock, ie level 1 retention) is a much better made holster at a quarter of the price on Amazon. Steer clear and get something else if you're just looking for a standard range holster. I am pretty sure safariland IS the oem for that holster but i could be wrong. The "good" news is that the mounting hole pattern seems to mimic safariland gear so you can adapt safariland hard plastic mounts to the holster with ease. The leather belt mount that came with the holster was also horrific as it was unstable on a myriad of different belts. The suede lining attracted all kinds of dirt, grit and crap and made the draw unneccessarily rough. That Wilson Combat holster was/is the worst holster ive ever used.
